Terms & Conditions
In short: LexaBook is a tool to keep your own records. Your data stays yours, and we do not use it for anything except running the app for you. You are responsible for what you record and for the messages you send to your customers.
1. Agreement
By creating an account or using the LexaBook app or lexabook.me, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use LexaBook.
2. What LexaBook is
LexaBook lets you record amounts given and received with customers and suppliers, create bills and statements, keep a cashbook, show a UPI QR code for your own UPI ID, and send reminders. It is a record-keeping tool. It is not a bank, a payment service, a lender or an accounting or tax adviser.
3. Your account
- You must be at least 18 and able to enter a contract under Indian law.
- Give accurate information and keep your password secure. You are responsible for activity under your account.
- Tell us at support@lexabook.me if you think your account has been misused.
4. Your data stays yours
- Everything you enter — business details, customers, entries, photos and cashbook — belongs to you.
- You give us permission to store and process it only to provide LexaBook to you. We do not sell it, use it for advertising, or change your records.
- Balances and totals are calculated from the entries you make. We do not alter or adjust your entries.
- You can delete records in the app and can ask us to delete your account at any time (how).
5. Your responsibilities
- Accurate records. You are responsible for the entries, amounts and bills you create, and for checking them.
- Customer information. Only add people you deal with, and keep their details for genuine business reasons.
- Messages to customers. SMS and WhatsApp messages are sent by you, from your phone and SIM. Only message customers you have a business relationship with, keep messages truthful, and follow applicable telecom rules. Carrier charges are yours.
- Tax and GST. Bills made in LexaBook are simple bills. You are responsible for meeting any GST, invoicing or tax requirements that apply to your business.
- Payments. Make sure the UPI ID in your profile is correct. Payments go directly to that UPI ID; we cannot reverse, refund or trace them.
6. Acceptable use
Do not use LexaBook to break the law, harass or spam anyone, record fraudulent transactions, try to access other users' data, or disrupt or reverse-engineer the service.
7. Availability and changes
We work to keep LexaBook available and your data safe, but the service is provided "as is" and may sometimes be unavailable for maintenance or reasons outside our control. We may improve, change or stop features; if we ever shut LexaBook down, we will give reasonable notice so you can keep a copy of your records.
8. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, LexaBook is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, or losses caused by incorrect entries, wrong UPI IDs, unpaid dues, or messages you send. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Indian law.
9. Ending your use
You can stop using LexaBook and delete your account at any time. We may suspend accounts that break these terms, after notice where reasonable.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in India will have jurisdiction over any dispute.
11. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we will update the effective date and, for significant changes, tell you in the app before they apply.
